Description
The Premier Egg & Dart Cornice 10 is one of our largest and most decorative cornices. It has a deep curved profile with traditional egg and dart detailing and a beaded line. Its bold shape creates a dominant period finish. As this is one of our larger profiles, it is best suited for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.5m or more. It works particularly well in larger sized Living Rooms, Dining Rooms, Entrance Halls, Kitchens and Bedrooms, where a smaller cornice may not have enough dominance. It is also a good option for Georgian and Victorian interiors or larger period renovations where the cornice is intended to become a main feature.
Individual Acanthus Leaf Dentil Features can be added to the cornice for a more decorative finish. These are usually spaced between 15cm and 25cm apart.
For a smaller cornice with similar egg and dart detailing and a beaded edge, please see the Premier Egg & Dart Cornice 27.
In the Room Set image, Premier Egg & Dart Cornice 10 is used with the Premier Railing 4, positioned slightly below the cornice.
To keep the cornice as the main feature, it works well with the Premier Ogee Railing 2 or the larger Premier Ogee Railing 6. These can be paired with the Ceiling Rose 9, Ceiling Rose 12 or Ceiling Rose 17 for a simpler matching interior. To continue the decorative style, it can also be paired with the Classic Railing 5 or Premier Railing 26, along with the Ceiling Rose 16, Ceiling Rose 18 or Ceiling Rose 37. For other traditional and decorative profiles, please view our Georgian Coving range.
Do we supply pre-cut corners?
We don’t supply pre-cut corners on our profiles. Simply use a Classic Mitre Box and Saw to cut the internal and external corners.
