- Easy fit and lightweight – Simple to install even for one person!
- Accurately replicates the look of traditional plaster cornice – Once fitted you’d never know the difference!
- Pre-primed surface requires only one coat of paint.
- High grade polymer is durable and shock-resistant. It won’t crack and can flex with natural movement of walls. You can read more about our materials here.
- Water and humidity resistant – suitable for use in bathrooms and kitchens.
What is Classic Coving?
Classic Coving is associated with a coving style which has clean lines and simple styles. It isn`t ornate with dentils, or acanthus details. It is the moulding which bridges the gap between the Wall and the Ceiling adding character and softening the edges making for a more warm homely setting.
What is coving used for?
Coving is used on the ceiling and goes around the edge of the room and is used to add value to your property and enhance the aesthetics. It is also used to hide cracks which form in the join between the wall and ceiling and can be used to hide pipes and wires.
How do I know what Coving to choose?
The best place to start is to measure the height of your ceilings and then use our product Size filter to filter out the best sized cornices for your room, the style depends on what you like and the decor in the room already but if unsure so for something with Ogee or “C” shaped as this works well with nearly all interior styles. Go for Stepped or ornate cornices to add bold character.
How To Size Your Cornice
The sizes we show under each profile are height, which is how far the cornice extends down the wall from the ceiling, and projection, which is how far it extends across the ceiling from the wall.
An average sized cornice would range from about 7cm x 7cm to about 12cm x 12cm. We can send a couple of samples out if you are unsure.
